Reprieve

For two weeks, the city was inundated with oppressive heat and humidity. Miserable, the residents skulked about their days, when seemingly out of nowhere the skies opened and an intense downpour began, though the sun still shone brightly. Most were unprepared, taking refuge under awnings, but this lone figure was determined to continue about their day, dashing through the moving trams. It was a moment of solitude in an otherwise frantic event.
