Federal Courthouse, Building, and Old Post Office 40741 (London, Kentucky)

The Federal Courthouse and Building in London serves the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. It was built in 1911 under the supervision of architect James Knox Taylor, and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. It originally housed the London post office, which has moved to a different facility near Interstate 75.

 

London, Kentucky is located in the southeastern part of the state in the Appalachian Mountains between Lexington and Knoxville. It serves as the seat of Laurel County.
