Short-eared owl ~ Asio flammeus

A couple of Shortie shots from out on the levels... We actually had some sunshine today !!

This is the same bird I've been shooting in the gloom for weeks now, but it all came together today, glorious sunshine, not from behind and I was able to get close enough for some feather and eye detail. :@)
