Autumn Splendour
Kew's trees are at their most colourful in autumn. One of the most impressive displays of colour comes from the Bender's Oak (Quercus x benderi, North America).
Quercus x benderi is a cross between Q. coccinea (Scarlet Oak) and Q. rubra (Red Oak); both these species are red oaks.
Taken at the Syon end of the Syon Vista.
