060.365 : Cost
My hands are used to tapping away at little plastic buttons or holding the rubber grip of a wacom pen or sliding seamlessly across the glass of a touchscreen.
But now that the bathroom has finally been grouted, I have time to survey the damage. My once graceful fingertips feel like they've gone head to head with 40 grit sandpaper and lost horribly. They are frightened, traumatized and running scared. Even the most precious one of all, the right index finger, the shutter releaser man, the left-clicker, the "hey you, yeah, talkin' to you, ya punk" finger; even he didn't avoid the abuse.
This is the cost of beautiful tile.
People, please, for the love of fingers everywhere, lay linoleum.
(just kidding, that tile looks kick ass. Next time, I'll wear gloves like a non-noob)
Technical note : I didn't think this shot was going to work. I used my 85mm 1.8 and stacked THREE stepdown rings on it with a 52mm +4 close up filter at the end. I thought since the distance the close-up filter was so far from the front of the lens, that the 85mm would not be able to focus close enough. Low and behold, it did AND with insanely shallow DOF!)
