When we were little, we all had those limitless dreams of becoming something amazing in this world. Something that created shock or wonder or awe in those around us. I wanted to be so many things as a kid; from a race car driver to a guitar swinging rockstar. None of these panned out, obviously. But I've been lucky enough to be able to share everything that I've learned in 30 years with the world.
You can't expect to become famous or rich or have that lucky break. What you can do, is learn about what you love. Experiment with that passion and branch out to the many interconnected interests and hobbies as you can. Then, most importantly, share what you find. Even the most obscure points of curiosity had other people both ahead of you and behind you its knowledge.
Learn, then share, then grow. Think of it as a knowledge bucket brigade. The ones in front of you will pass to you new techniques, new perspectives and fresh ideas. In turn, you must look behind you and give back to the the common interest and allow those people to grow at their own pace and in their own unique way. Be it photography or literature. Sports or cooking.
Besides, I can play Rockband on the weekends to pretend to be a music rockstar. But to be a true rockstar, I've got to pass everything I learn down to those who want to learn. It is then when I will be rewarded with something infinitely larger than fame or fortune.
