ANH (LEGO) and ESB (Prop) Lightsabers

Note the cosmetic differences between the "A New Hope" (top, LEGO) and "Empire Strikes Back" (bottom, prop replica) versions:

 

* LEGO: activation switch is modeled after a late 70's TI Exactra calculator bubble strip.

Prop replica: HP-bus styled activation switch.

 

* LEGO: the grips are solid strips.

Prop replica: the grips are riveted to the body near the end.

 

* LEGO: single red "test button" and original "glass eye" sensor on bottom, near emitter.

Prop replica: dual red "test buttons" on top and bottom.

Done
