Zion Canyon - Utah

Zion National Park was filled with the best hikes I've ever done. Once at the top of the canyon you get breathtaking views of the valley the Virgin River took so long to create.

This shot was taken at the top of Angels Landing, a treacherous hike over 1,000 feet up across a skinny saddle where all you have to hold on to is a small chain that the park put in for safety. It was named Angels Landing because when it was discovered it was thought that because of it's difficult position, only angels could land there. And as the buses in the park let you know over and over again, fatalities have occurred!
