This is a view of the Colorado River (upper left) from the area near Horseshoe Bend, Page, Arizona.
The river makes its famous bend around the peninsula at top center of image. If one looks closely at the extreme top left an outhouse is visible at the river's edge. The standard viewpoint of the river is from upper left (out of frame).
We made a day hike to get to this viewpoint for something to do and to get a different perspective on the river. We wandered over 8 miles round trip on our jaunt. Very beautiful area.
