The Gift
Back in 2014 when i was still young enough to drag myself out of bed at 1 am and drive for 2-1/2 hours to take a picture, i did :^)
The drive to Reflection Lakes at Mt. Rainier was uneventful. I wasted little time in a rush to arrive when i needed to arrive and be ready for the sunrise i hoped would be a beauty.
I pulled into the parking space and managed to get set up just as the sun was reflecting under the clouds and slowly changing the gray darkness into this spectacular morning show. I had some difficulty trying to decide whether to take a picture or just stare in awe as this scene unfolded.
Those 1 am days are behind me now but that is how it goes. I am still moving and still capable, still wandering about with a camera, looking for beauty and adventure. Just not at 1 am.
This is a re-edit of previously posted image. My processing skills have improved somewhat, i think.
