As Usual
This fence has been constructed to keep off highway vehicles (dirt bikes, etc.) from entering sensitive areas around Factory Butte and destroying the fragile soils and a species of cactus endemic to the area.
Left side of frame is for riding and the right side of frame (fence) is off limits. The riding area is huge, encompassing 5,300 acres in Factory Butte and an additional 2,602 acres at nearby Swing Arm City. Evidently not enough for some who feel that the rules don't apply to them.
If one looks closely the fence changes from wood to wire and steel post climbing into the steep hills in the distance. And STILL there are people going beyond the fence to ride. Disappointing, but typical.
For reference i am standing on the legal side of the fence but shooting over the fence directly in front of me.
