Silence and Peace
A hike on the Damnation Creek Trail yesterday to the rugged coast was one the most peaceful places I have been. We were the first ones on the trail in early morning, walking through the fog shrouded redwood trees among tall ferns. Total silence, magical light and the indescribable joy of wandering among such beautiful and massive trees is an experience I won't soon forget.
I have hiked among giants in Mt. Rainier and the Olympic Rainforest but these trees struck a chord in my soul that I will keep forever.
My thanks for whomever decided not to cut down every last one of these magnificent trees. Amen!
