These Mallard ducks can cross the Fox River by flying or swimming. But walking across on a pedestrian bridge?
I spotted them as they started their stroll and knelt to take the image in comments. Just then, my wife Clara said "A runner is coming up behind us quickly."
I turned, but the footsteps had stopped. The young lady then said "I don't want to spoil your photos." I responded "Thanks!" and added "You know, it would be a more interesting image if the three of you were in it."
She then beamed a smile, and with a tilt of the head said "OK!", and immediately took off across the bridge. The ducks simply let her run by and continued their waddling, resulting in this unusual (I think) capture of sharing the road. :-)
Dedicated to Julie Swan (Fritter and Waste) who just glows when she sees animals.
