A Lily Girl
Round 16 Get Pushed Challenge
"LILY-GIRL, not made for this world's pain,
With brown, soft hair close braided by her ears,
Pale cheeks whereon no love hath left its stain,
Red underlip drawn in for fear of love,
And white throat, whiter than the silvered dove"
From "Madonna Mia" by Oscar Wilde
I was challenged by Stuart Bewsey, a gifted and creative photographer who, said " I decided to give you the same push as you gave me (to create an image based upon lines from a poem), but instead of a poem from Robert Frost, you can have my favourite poet; Oscar Wilde!"
Decided to to give this a watercolor painting feel, since Oscar Wilde, an Irish writer and poet, lived in the 19th century.
