Busy Times in Kingman Canyon

Just west of Kingman, AZ, BNSF's mainline goes from flat desert running to a twisting, steep climb down and up through Kingman Canyon. Here an eastbound vehicle train roars upgrade behind a trio of GE locomotives as a westbound freight drifts downgrade towards California. In addition to being a great place to watch trains, the canyon is also a popular spot for off-roaders, some of which can be seen parked next to the lower mainline.
