DUBLIN: 18.04.12: The first grand cruise liner, the 109,000 tonne, 290 metre, 17 deck high “Grand Princess” with almost 4,000 passengers and crew sailed into Dublin Port at 7am this morning, marking the launch of Dublin Port’s multi-million euro annual cruise season. The $450 million vessel is the first of 90 cruise liners Dublin Port Company has secured for Dublin this year, bringing 100,000 high spend passengers and generating up to €50 million for the local economy annually.
