CL&P 4.8kV - New Britain, Conn. LINEWORK

Here you can see the front side of the old Westinghouse transformer, a cast-iron unit from the late 1910's or early 1920's. This was one of their very first CSP's. On the sides of the can, you can see two fuses--these were predecessors to the modern lightning arrester and fused cutout, and can be found on many prewar CSP transformers.
