one piece of nori, seaweed, was laid on a bamboo sushi mat

cooked sticky rice was spread on the nori

the rice was topped with salmon and salad

the rice, salmon and salad covered nori was wrapped in the bamboo sushi mat and rolled tightly (see video below)

once rolled and the sushi sealed the mat was removed

the messy ends of the sushi were cut off

the sushi was then cut into equal pieces
