a very thick, intense, spicey, pineapple butter/jam cooked in the slowcooker. it's not as smooth as the plum butter flic.kr/p/2p1Kik1 which is what i was hoping for but very flavoursome and thick. i'll be using to garnish any meal, sweet or savoury
ingredients
2 medium sized pineapples (£1.50 for the 2 at green street market)
sugar
cloves
fresh ginger
fresh turmeric
lemon juice
no added water
cooked in the slowcooker for many hours, to reduce by at least half
hand blender was used when pineapple had softened
low setting throughout
red background fabric a charity shop find
jam displayed on hand painted dragon design fine china saucer, made in japan, charity shop find bought with jug and sugar bowl, sadly no cups
ps i'm not recommending any of these cookery adventures. they suit my taste. photographing to encourage myself to eat more healthily
