OKINAWA, Japan (Jan. 26, 2013) The Navy's only forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) arrives in White Beach, Okinawa, to embark Marines from the 31st Marine Expiditionary Unit (MEU). The Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group, currently on deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations, will take part in amphibious integration training (ATI), certification exercise (CERTEX) and participate in the annual multi-national combined joint training exercise Cobra Gold.
