GENERAL SANTOS CITY, Philippines (July 4, 2012) U.S. Coast Guard Maritime Law Enforcement Specialist 3rd Class Vitaliy Zimenko, assigned to the Legend-class national security cutter USCGC Waesche (WMSL 751), demonstrates the proper use of pressure points during a visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) training event held with members of the Philippine Navy and Philippine Coast Guard. The event is part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Philippines 2012. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the U.S. Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.
