PHILIPPINE SEA (Aug. 15, 2022) Gunner’s Mate Seaman Wesley Moses, from Farmington, N.M., shoots an M-14 rifle from forward-deployed amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans’ (LPD 18) forecastle with assistance from Gunner’s Mate Seaman Tyler Mills, from Watertown, N.Y., to send a heaving line to dry cargo ship USNS Carl Brashear (T-AKE 7) in preparation for a connected replenishment-at-sea. New Orleans, part of the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group, along with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in U.S. 7th Fleet to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
