SASEBO, Japan (Aug. 10, 2022) Forward-deployed amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans (LPD 18) receives fuel from replenishment vessel USNS Rappahannock (T-AO-204) during a replenishment-at-sea. New Orleans, part of the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), along with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, operates in U.S. 7th Fleet to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
