Minghe Zang, left, a dental officer assigned to amphibious transport dock USS Portland (LPD 27), and Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Tristan Rowley, assigned to Alpha Company Battalion Landing Team 1/1, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), triage a simulated casualty during a mass casualty training event aboard Portland. 11th MEU and Essex Amphibious Ready Group are operating in U.S. 7th Fleet to enhance interoperability with alliances and partners and serve as a ready response force to ensure maritime security and a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
