SUBIC BAY, Philippines (Oct. 2, 2018) A Japan Ground Self-Defense Force amphibious vehicle enters the well deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) during during exercise KAMANDAG 2. Led by the Armed Forces of the Philippines, KAMANDAG 2 features military-to-military exchanges through various training events, capabilities development training, and humanitarian and civic assistance projects.
