KUANTAN, Malaysia (Aug. 12, 2016) Malaysian Army 2nd Lt. Mohamad Sharizan Bin Abdul Hamid, a nutritionist at Hospital Angkatan Tentera Tuanku Mizan in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, speaks during a Pacific Partnership 2016 halal food awareness seminar at Kuantan Naval Base. During the seminar, Pacific Partnership 2016 personnel learned the basic understanding and preparation techniques of halal food. This is the first time Pacific Partnership has visited Malaysia. During the mission stop partner nations are working side-by-side with local military and civilian organizations in a search and rescue exercise, civil engineering projects, community relation events and subject matter expert exchanges.
