KUANTAN, Malaysia (Aug. 9, 2016) Hospital Corpsman David Cyrus (Left), a native of Guam, Andrew Prush (Center), a native of Detroit, and Christopher Mangram, a native of Houston, all assigned to hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) demonstrate how to treat a patient in different scenarios during a post-partum hemorrhage and neo-natal resuscitation subject matter expert exchange at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan. During the exchange Pacific Partnership and the hospital shared best practices and knowledge on the subject. This is the first time Mercy and Pacific Partnership have visited Malaysia. During the mission stop partner nations are working side-by-side with local military and civilian organizations in a search and rescue exercise, civil engineering projects, community relation events and subject matter expert exchanges.
