PACIFIC OCEAN (Jan 22, 2016) Damage Control Chief Nathan Almada, from Cypress, California, motions for the “hot suitmen” to clear the area during a Crash and Salvage drill on the flight deck of the guided-missile destroyer, USS Stockdale (DDG-106). Stockdale, assigned to the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group, is part of the Great Green Fleet, a year-long initiative highlighting the Department of the Navy’s efforts to transform its energy use to increase operational capability. Providing a combat-ready force to protect collective maritime interests, the John C.
