Bone marrow donor, recipient meet

On Nov. 11, Donnie Syptak, a 35-year-old resident of Cypress, Texas, met the 2-year-old boy whose life he saved one year ago by donating bone marrow. Trenton Platt had Severe Combined Immunodeficiency, better known as Boy in the Bubble Syndrome, and has been healthy since the transplant. His family, formerly of Texas City, traveled from the Waco area to meet Syptak.
