West Houston resident and KBR employee Francisco Quintana is the proud winner of a pair of airline tickets to anywhere in the world on Continental Airlines.
He was randomly selected as a winner in the “Save Lives and See the World” promotion by Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, which selected a new prize recipient every two weeks during October and November.
Five years ago, Quintana’s wife needed blood due to complications from childbirth.
Now he’s a Commit for Life donor and gives blood regularly at KBR’s employee blood drives in downtown Houston.
“Somebody went out of their way to help our family by donating blood,” says Quintana. “This is my chance to give back and help others. I’m healthy, so why not?”
With so many travel destinations to choose from, Quintana said he and his wife will take some time to decide on their country of choice.
