Spring Break Travel Plans Underway
Thirty-year Quail Valley resident and blood donor Guy “Buddy” Harrelson is the proud winner of a pair of airline tickets to anywhere in the contiguous United States on Continental Airlines. He was randomly selected as a winner in the “Save Lives and See the World” promotion by Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, which is selecting a new prize recipient every two weeks during October and November.
Throughout his life, Harrelson has donated blood during emergencies and to help ailing family members. Early this year, he decided to Commit for Life and begin donating once per quarter at the Sugar Land Neighborhood Donor Center at 4949 Sweetwater Blvd.
“I never had to go into battle and fight for our country, so this is my way of helping our country,” says Harrelson, who turned 61 this year.
