German Vertical Tank - "Kartoffelstampfer Ausf. B"
The alien threat was getting bigger. Half of the US was now wasteland or alien towers. US, German, British, Russian and many other soldiers struggled to stop the never ending waves. The HQ of this new alliance the United Nations, was moved to Germany after the US was labeled too dangerous. Here German scientist began devolving new vehicles, with the help of other countries. They decided to try and build a super tank. One with a massive gatling gun, smoke grenade launchers and 2 powerful flamethrowers. These failed most of the tests. Tanks have one major flaw. They are slow and can't get over tall obstacles or alien barricades. It was a British officer, General Lyons, who came up with the idea. "Ya know what you need? Legs. Gert powerful legs that can kick those bloody barricades of the face of the planet!" The scientists of over 20 countries spent day and night trying to do the impossible, give the tank some legs. Together the top 100 minds on the planet did what no one thought would be possible for over 50 years. Technology advanced dramatically and finally they made the perfect tank. It was put through vigorous testing. Each obstacle was either killed by the triple-barreled gatling gun, burned to a crisp by the twin flamethrowers or crushed and kicked to pieces by the powerful mechanical legs. In 1951, after 4 years of working, planning and making, the "Kartoffelstampfer Ausf. B" was put into production. Those bloody things will be kicked all the way back to Mars!
