winter settled with its silent whispers

ah, our FIRST snowfall!

On our screened in porch sits this vase, filled with an arrangement of dried greens, silk roses, a cattail and beaded wisteria! I love when nature decorates!

The Snowfall Is So Silent

by Miguel de Unamuno; translated by Robert Bly

(a few excerpts) . . .

The snowfall is so silent,

so slow,

bit by bit, with delicacy

it settles down on the earth

and covers over the fields

. . .

Snow, delicate snow,

that falls with such lightness

on the head,

on the feelings

. . .
