spinning with new beginnings of Spring

As the chair swivels

As the spinning wheel spins

As the daffodils bloom,

my heart churns and burns

with prayers for the world

to refrain from the gloom

and return

to the new beginnings of Spring.

 

One look at the front page of our paper this morning,

and I've thought of nothing else but the devastation

occurring in this horrific, senseless war, perpetrated

by one evil man.

What can we do?

oh Dear God,

please help.
