when family, nature and art coalesce
"So, let's go to the art studio, NOW, Nanette" . . .
Well, it wasn't that simple, nor immediate!
Since the girls hadn't been here in over 3 years,
a *tour* was in order! Our older granddaughter sat on the floor in my studio for almost an hour, mesmerized and immersed in her dream room!
Ironically, with a house and various studios FULL of art and supplies, there are actually not a lot of large spaces in which to create with small groups!
So we covered our kitchen counter with oil cloth and funny papers, added another table, adorned paint smocks, and excitedly began! Our daughter had brought along a gel plate, acrylics, stencils, ephemera and ideas! We provided the paper and assorted leaves from our gardens!
Voilá . . . an explosion of creativity and FUN!
. . . and, it's only just begun!
