Because I truly cannot find my own voice in expressing my gratitude to my dear flickr friend, Danny Mansmith,
I have chosen some quotations which speak to me.
I met Danny years ago and have ordered various art works from him from time to time. Inside every package he generously encloses some of his whimsies, bits of ephemera, and amazing Polish paper cuts, aka *wycinanki* . . . His original works of art are part of his genius. My favorites are the clutch bags, all stitched meticulously on his vintage sewing machine. Seeing is believing! I think it's now time for me to make a special album for Danny . . . check it out!
Two days ago I received a *surprise* package, filled with the silhouettes which I have placed together to tell a bit of a story.
Because Danny is solely on Instagram, I rarely see him over here, but I do know he has seen my recent Monarch butterfly adventure!
I can't help but think that tweaked something within his brain and inspired the above random paper art and sewn pieces!
The little girl in the lower right hand corner was totally hand-stitched (as is all of Danny's work), and she has amazing moving parts!
