It's been a long time since we purchased a piece of art . . .
But today, while walking past the window of a local gallery,
this beautiful sculpture, created by J. Johnson, hooted to me!
Having spoken in great length with my sister in Greece yesterday, we touched upon many subjects, one of which brought up symbolic meanings for the owl!
*Intuition, ability to see what others do not see
*Change announced by the presence of an owl
*Capacity to see beyond deceit and masks
*Wisdom
Whether or not one believes in such ancient folklore, is a topic which can provoke interesting discussion. As an artist, I am open to many controversial subjects, especially related to the spiritual world.
