Mischievous
In start contrast to her Well behaved friend this little girl was full of energy. Her and the third girl were wresting about on the bench/seat at the cafe. Her friend was tackling her over and over and she would giggle and struggle while they pushed each other around. It was fun to watch but a bit challenging to shoot. So I kneeled patiently and waited for a break in the mischief.
When she noticed I was there I asked her if she would mind if I took her picture. She hid. But it wasn't long before she emerged and sat there looking at me for a few seconds. I had time to fire off a few snaps before she was once again under attack. I'd have liked to photograph her antagonist but she was far too full of energy to sit still for a photo. So I thanked the whole group (not that the kids were listening) and went back to sit with my mates.
I'm approaching the end of my 100 strangers. I began on November 30th and I will post my 100th stranger on March 9th. A few people have expressed interest in getting a copy of my project as a book so I'll be putting one together. It will contain both photos and the descriptions I've written alongside them, so it should be about 200 pages. If anyone out there would like a copy I'm happy to organise one for them. I'll charge whatever it costs me to get it done, which looks like it'll be about $80AUD including shipping. Let me know if you're interested by leaving a comment or sending me some flickr mail.
This is the ninety sixth portrait of my attempt at the 100 strangers project.
