Greensted Church, near Ongar, Essex

Properly known as The Church of Saint Andrew, Greensted-juxta-Ongar, it is the oldest wooden church in the world and the oldest wooden structure in Europe, at least in part. The nave is original and built of split oak trunks, which could be as much as 1200 years old.
