Spanning the West River in Dummerston, Vermont since 1872, and having survived disastrous floods in 1927 and 2011 (Tropical Storm Irene), this bridge remains open for vehicular traffic. The longest covered bridge in Vermont, its single lane connects Dummerston with VT Route 30 and is one of the two main routes to the rest of the world.
