LumiQuest 80-20 Effect
Here's a little demo of what the LumiQuest 80-20 does. Its purpose is to direct 20% of the flash output on to the subject while bouncing the light off the ceiling. Viewing large on black would help see the differences more clearly.
The photo of Jinx on the left is taken with the 80-20. You can see the difference in Jinx's eyes, mouth and its name tag is readable.
The photo on the right is taken only using a ceiling bounce, with the exact same flash and camera settings. You can see that ceiling bounce causes shadows under the head and recesses like where the name tag is, because the light from the ceiling can't reach there.
