This photo quilt was made from sections of images gotten this week in my dentist's office. Two of the images are in my stream, here and here. You can see the square sections from them, but the cool thing is making "amazing circles" out of square crops. See the Amazing Circles group for incredible image manipulations by the members. Many are appearing over the last few weeks in Interestingness. The group has the link to the technique, done in Photoshop.
As a quilter, you can see that I tried to balance sizes, color and scale. It's like making a patchwork quilt out of one piece of patterned cloth - it basically works for all the elements have some of the same colors throughout. Hope you enjoy seeing it in the large or original size. I think maybe I'll go for a QOOP poster of this, just for the fun memory I've had in creating it.
