Galvanizing Shadows

Unusual shadows cast to a galvanized metal wall from fencing. How did the shadows become so smoothly elliptical from obviously crooked fencing mesh? A contrast of light and shadow, rust and crust and of course composition here are all what attracts me for a typical "cobalt art moment". Taken in Prescott, Arizona in strong early morning light.
