Just Before the Rain
This country scene is near Patagonia, Arizona in rural, southern Arizona. The color of the light is quite beautiful just before the rain comes. The bright sun still peeks out here where I stand but the rain is moving towards me, east. Within a half hour, it was solid, steady rain and everything was gray, foggy and misty for about an hour. My friend Mark and I continued driving south, climbing up in elevation, About 2 1/2 hours after this photo was shot, we had arrived at the San Rafael Valley where sunlight and beautiful clouds filled the skyscape, seen in this image.
