Munich - Bürgersaalkirche

The lower floor of the Baroque 2-floor Bürgersaalkirche located at the Neuhauser Straße in Munich.

The Bürgersaal was built 1709/1710 by master builder Johann Georg Ettenhofer, following plans created by Giovanni Antonio Viscardi. It is known as Bürgersaalkirche since the consecration of the altar in 1778.

The building is the prayer and meeting hall of the "Sodality of Our Lady 'Annunciation'".

This lower floor served originally as the printing room of the Sodality. It was converted to a crypt-like chapel in the 19th century.
