Oberschleißheim - Neues Schloss

Sort of the "standard" view of that palace, but in winter. And taken from a vantage point that would be inside the fountain basin during summer.

 

The New Schleißheim Palace was built 1701-1704 by Enrico Zuccalli for the Elector of Bavaria, Maximilian II Emanuel, who expected to become emperor of the Holy Roman Empire and therefore felt the need for a representative new residence.

 

Unfortunately Maximilian II Emanuel never became the emperor...
