Munich - "Versunkenes Dorf"

"Versunkenes Dorf" is an art installation, representing a village that vanished when the landfill in Fröttmaning was built. The meaning of the German name "Versunkenes Dorf" is "Sunken Village".

 

It is modeled after the nearby Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche, the oldest church in Munich.
