Our idea for the Club of the Future is to reformat the way Board and Committee meetings are run in the club industry. With smartphones, tablets, and apps becoming more popular lately we think it would be a good idea to integrate everything you would need for a meeting into an app that would be easy and convenient to use on computers, smartphones and tablets. There are many different platforms that can be used to conduct virtual meetings; google hangout, virtual boardroom, skype, and Wiggio. The cost to develop this idea would depend on the platform used. There are many different benefits when switching over to virtual/paperless meetings; saving time and travel costs, less restrictions with time and location, notes from meetings can be easily accessed from anywhere so progress can be tracked, and virtual meetings can also improve the quality of life by allowing members to work from home if the choose to or need to. Becoming paperless is also economical and easy to share. In person meetings will still be held every quarter or do to an important event. This idea benefits the board by saving paper, saving time, and assisting the boards and committees for Clubs.
