Courthouse Rock

A carpet of Pinyon and Juniper woodland waits in the waning darkness for winter sunlight to warm the needles and bear witness to the dawn of a new year, Sedona, Arizona. If I could be bold enough to speak for the trees (like the Lorax), I suspect we humans are viewed as mobile nutrient packets with short-term perspectives.
