White Robed Mudstone

Afternoon sun enriches the mudstone buttresses to the right, which form the pedestal of the uniquely striking Fisher Towers formation east of Moab, Utah. I used a polarizing filter to bring out the colors of the stone. In the distance toward the left is Professor Valley and the Colorado River. Further back out of sight along this line is Arches National Park.

This outing was a treat because it was our family Boxing Day hike, with my mother and her husband, my two sons, my dearest wife, and my two excellent brothers.
